Headshots – Connections to Success

Last week I volunteered a day of my time to provide headshots for participants in the Connections to Success program in St. Charles, Mo.. Connections to Success is the umbrella program that encompasses the (perhaps better known) Dress for Success program. Connections offers a “comprehensive network of services and support to help people living in poverty become economically self-sufficient.”

The program includes “workforce readiness skills, cognitive skill building, job placement and retention, health and wellness, financial education, literacy and GED, educational programs, occupational skills and transitional employment,” for participants.

One of the topics covered in their classes is personal branding, and naturally I know first-hand the power a great headshot has to make a fantastic first impression on job-hunting sites. I worked with their current program participants to create strong, professional images that will help them put their best face forward when job hunting. I am excited to know that my work will help these participants in their job search.

If you’d like more information about Connections to Success and how you can help their life-changing program, visit their donation page here. (I know that most of us have gently worn professional clothing, shoes, bags and other accessories that they can put to good use.)

Here’s a gallery of some of the headshots we created last week. Enjoy!
