Susan was a joy to work with! I needed headshots for my work as a writer and small business owner. I came in with a particular look in mind, something moody and good for publishing fiction. She delivered. She listened to my vision for the session and created a really calm environment.

Susan was excellent. She was able to work with me on a short deadline. I was very pleased with her work. She knew exactly how to make me look good on camera and coached me into the headspace to “model.” She was very professional, prompt in her communications, and works quickly but without losing quality when she did the touchups. In addition, she was very friendly and chatty, which helped the photo session go by quickly!

I was able to provide direction on what I was looking to achieve, we reviewed a number of looks, and the shoot in her studio allowed for the perfect number of different looks. Before we even met, Susan was very clear and up-front about what to expect in the session. She also tasked me with coming up with examples and inspiration pictures of what I was looking for, so that we were both prepared and no time was wasted for either of us.

The session itself was pleasantly time-efficient. Susan was obviously experienced enough to know what kind of poses and expressions would be effective for the shots’ purposes.

Aside from the normal actor headshots, we also had a bit of time to play around with a couple of fun shots that weren’t quite so serious. It took a remarkably short amount of time to receive both the untouched proofs as well as the final products that I ultimately chose to purchase.

Susan Bennet at Ooh St. Lou Studios is brilliant! I recently had studio photos and portraits done with her and I cannot emphasize how wonderful my experience was. Fabulous First Photo Session for My Aspiring Model Daughter! We contacted Susan and Ooh St. Lou Studios to shoot my teenage daughter’s modeling portfolio. My daughter has aspirations but no professional experience, so for this shoot Susan had to play the role of teacher and guide, as well as photographer. She handled both roles beautifully – and the resulting photos prove it! Anya’s photos are amazing, and the range of moods and expressions Susan captured is incredible. Susan is as patient and personable as she is creative. Anya and I both enjoyed this experience immensely – Susan absolutely exceeded my expectations!
