Portrait Session with Mike

Had a chance to do an awesome portrait session in the studio with Mike this week. This was a very simple setup, with just a few wardrobe changes. (Beards are so fun to shoot! The texture!)

One of the things I love about portrait work is how we can use light, image processing and subtle changes of expression to create very different looks. The guy on the top seems an entirely different character to the guy on the bottom, does he not? The ability of photography to both show a subject’s true character and create entirely new ones is endlessly fascinating to me.
